Snow peas are a different species of peas wherein the whole pods are eaten. As they are consumed as a whole, they have relatively high content of dietary fibre. Fiber in the diet helps reduce blood cholesterol levels, obesity, and constipation. Snowpeas have the best nutritional value when eaten raw and fresh in salads or as a snack. However, they can also be cooked in curries and stews.
